Celebrate my 28th birthday with me!

Last weekend I celebrated turning another year older (and not so much wiser) with my close friends and family. Birthdays are always a weird one for me- I love celebrating and going all out for my friend and families birthdays but when it comes to my own, I just prefer low key things with the people closest to me, particularly as I’ve got older. This birthday was spent doing exactly that!

NQ64: Manchester’s newest & largest arcade

This week I was kindly invited to attend the housewarming party for the brand new NQ64 arcade bar. Located just next door to its existing site, in the old Dive Bar & Grill, this new site provides a much more spacious location with a wide variety of games, as well as multiple seating areas. There is also a covered outdoor seating area with heaters and its own bar, for those who want to escape the noise for a while and catch up.

An evening with Ewe

On Friday I was kindly invited down to Ewe Restaurant in Bolton to try their brand new menu.

Ewe is a modern restaurant and bar, with elegant decor featuring a grand piano, pampas and velor boothed tables.   Opened in late 2022, Ewe is quickly becoming a popular local venue in Bolton, seeing many people venture outside of Manchester City centre to dine here.

January 2023 Reading Round-up!

I think January was a really good month for reading, in that I seem to have chosen quite a few books that I really enjoyed. I read quite a few different genres too so it is a good one to start back off with on the blog.

I have had such a long break from writing and I knew that I wanted my first blog back (non sponsored / brand based) to be a book-related one!

Here’s my January 2023 book round up…

Yesterday I was kindly invited down to the soft launch of the brand new Tim Hortons, which opens on Monday 29th August. Located in Trafford Park, opposite Selfridges Trafford Centre, this site hosts a restaurant available for both eat in and take away, as well as a drive thru.

I’ve never been to Tim Hortons before so I wasn’t too sure what to expect but I’ve heard great things so I was excited to try it for myself!

Kitchen Chronicles

Last night I visited Kitchen Chronicles, an Indian restaurant located in the centre of Hazel Grove. Owned by the lovely Amina & her husband, they aim to provide an authentic experience in the comfort of your local area.

Opened in 2020, Kitchen Chronicles sadly had to close after one week of being open due to lockdown. They are now open for business, serving a variety of Indian dishes including curries, meats, vegetable dishes and street food, as well as vegan friendly dishes. For those who want to eat healthier, the chefs can prepare a range of dishes under 400 calories and can guarantee they are still delicious and full of flavour!

Zonas: Fertility Awareness Campaign

Infertility is an issue that affects so many. Approximately 1 in 8 women struggle to conceive and sadly 1 in 4 experience miscarriage. Yet it is not something that is openly spoken about regularly.

I recently came across Zonas, a medical-based company that works towards empowering women through gaining more knowledge and understanding of their bodies. Broken down as Zoh (meaning life in Greek) and Zona (the external layer of a female egg), this is a unique area of research available to any woman in the UK.

I think their work is amazing and so important as it is aiming to break the stigma surrounding fertility and enable people to be in control of their own bodies. For a much smaller fee than private health consultations, Zonas can help to identify any barriers early and help to empower people to make their own choices. They provide this through an easy, accessible testing kit.

Seven54: New Menu Launch

Last night I visited one of my favourite restaurants, Seven54 Cafe Bar, to sample their brand new menu. Located in the centre of Didsbury village, owners Nik and Matt rebranded Seven54 in May earlier this year and are now taking their menus to the next level, offering up a variety of Mediterranean inspired meals.

Served as a tasting menu in two waves, guests were able to try a variety of dishes as well as a generous amount of cocktails and fizz!

Come to the races with me: Goodwood, July 2021

On Friday I went to Goodwood Races in Chichester for the first time for my annual summer work end of quarter. I haven’t been to the races for years and I’ve only been once so I was really excited for a big event, especially after the past two years in and out of lockdown!

We were in the Gordon Enclosure, an indoor marquee-style enclosure with an array of seating, a balcony with a great view of the races and a short walk to the betting stations. You could also bet inside which I did (thanks to the amber wind warnings down south that day)!

We had a lovely three course meal, followed by high tea, washed down with copious amounts of Veuve! If you want to see some photos of the day, keep reading!

Zouk Tea Bar & Grill

Last night I had the pleasure of visiting Zouk Tea Bar & Grill in Manchester to sample their new menu. Located just off Oxford Road, Zouk is a local hot-spot serving up Indian delicacies and a variety of cocktails, mocktails and drinks. Sit inside and enjoy watching the chefs cooking your food, as well as the plush cream decor, or enjoy the covered floral terrace with heaters available on cooler evenings.

I've visited Zouk a number of times now and have never been disappointed by the food, atmosphere or service so I was really honoured and excited to be invited down as a PR guest.

Spend a long weekend with me

Last time I did a ‘Spend a weekend with me’ it got such a good response so I thought, with having quite a jam packed weekend, I would share this weekend with you! I love being a bit more real and sharing more of my life with you all, as I’m conscious that some weeks can just be outfit pictures or brand content.

If you want to see what I got up to this weekend, keep reading!
