Spend a weekend in Brussels with me!

Last weekend I went to Belgium for the long bank holiday and it was bliss. We were really lucky with the weather - it was around 22/23 degrees with a bit of a breeze so it was cool enough to sight see but warm enough to sit out and enjoy the sunshine!

This was a belated birthday celebration for me and it was lovely and chilled - which was exactly what I wanted/needed.

Photo Diary: Corfu Old Town

Greece is one of my favourite countries ever and Corfu Old Town definitely didn’t disappoint. Filled with quaint cobbled streets, coloured/stone architecture and a myriad of shops selling souvenirs and local goods.

Things to do:
- shop for magnets and souvenirs
- visit the old fortress and admire the sea views
- visit the marina
- grab a bite to eat or drink near the Liston/Spianada Square
- visit the cathedral

Here’s some of my favourite shots of the day!

What we ate & drank in Krakow: March 2023

Krakow is honestly one of the best cities I’ve visited in terms of bars and restaurants. There are really cool places every corner you turn! We were a bit worried as we didn’t book anywhere until last minute and everywhere was fully booked. We turned up to all of the below places without a reservation and were absolutely fine so I definitely recommend just having a wander and seeing where looks good, as well as having some places in mind to try!

The Jewish Quarter is a great place for bars as the streets are filled with them and from around 7/8pm this area comes alive. I also recommend the back streets around the main square (anywhere a 5-10 minute walk of this area should have quite a lot of options)!

Here’s what we ate and drank in Krakow (with prices).

Rendition MCR

I recently visited Rendition, a newly revived restaurant and bar in central Manchester. Located in Deansgate, this intimate setting offers a variety of small plates, cocktails and other beverages. With their luxury but rustic decor, as well as a live band, this is definitely a place to visit!

Morocco Travel Tips: Marrakech Souks & Centre

I’ve had so many questions about Marrakech and what to do so I thought I’d do a series of blogs with my top tips to share my experiences with you.

The Marrakech souks are one of the must see sights, consisting of traditional market-style shops scattered across the outside of the central square and down various back streets and alleyways. Located by the El Fna central square, there is plenty to see and do round this area. Keep reading for my top tips.

Kitchen Chronicles

Last night I visited Kitchen Chronicles, an Indian restaurant located in the centre of Hazel Grove. Owned by the lovely Amina & her husband, they aim to provide an authentic experience in the comfort of your local area.

Opened in 2020, Kitchen Chronicles sadly had to close after one week of being open due to lockdown. They are now open for business, serving a variety of Indian dishes including curries, meats, vegetable dishes and street food, as well as vegan friendly dishes. For those who want to eat healthier, the chefs can prepare a range of dishes under 400 calories and can guarantee they are still delicious and full of flavour!

Come to the races with me: Goodwood, July 2021

On Friday I went to Goodwood Races in Chichester for the first time for my annual summer work end of quarter. I haven’t been to the races for years and I’ve only been once so I was really excited for a big event, especially after the past two years in and out of lockdown!

We were in the Gordon Enclosure, an indoor marquee-style enclosure with an array of seating, a balcony with a great view of the races and a short walk to the betting stations. You could also bet inside which I did (thanks to the amber wind warnings down south that day)!

We had a lovely three course meal, followed by high tea, washed down with copious amounts of Veuve! If you want to see some photos of the day, keep reading!

Robusto Luggage

Robusto is a luggage company providing high quality but affordable suitcases, making their brand accessible to all. Their cases range from carry-on styles, to medium or larger suitcases providing an option suitable for your needs. Their hard shell suitcases have been described as "Robusto by name, robust by nature" due to the strong polypropylene material used, making the cases hard wearing and long lasting.

Budapest Thermal Spas

I’ve just got back from a lovely break to Budapest which was well needed! If you’ve never been to Budapest before, I highly recommend it! It’s filled with history, culture and beautiful views. & of course, the incredible thermal spas.

I visited two of the thermal spas during my trip and I’ve received a lot of interest regarding them! Before visiting Budapest, I had lots of questions myself about the thermal spas and I'd have loved to read a blog post for more information so, here we are.

2018: A year in review (pt. 2)

If you're just joining then thank you so much for visiting my blog! It will probably make more sense to read part 1 of this series first which you can do so by clicking here.

The second half of 2018 was equally as busy for me. I attended lots of blog events and had the opportunity to travel more.

I hope you enjoy!

Probably one of my favourite months of the year was July as I finallllly visited Vietnam. This is somewhere I had wanted to visit for years but, at the time, none of my friends were at the stage where they would want to go. Either they'd already been, were enjoying their careers and couldn't take enough time to enjoy it or that kind of trip just wasn't for them. Plus, I didn't have a guy in my life to travel with (no surprise there). So, I took the plunge and decided to go alone!

2018: A year in review (pt. 1)

So, I know I'm a few days late, I've been nursing a killer chest infection (Happy 2019 to me). I wanted to start 2019 first with a reflection of the past year. Firstly, Happy New Year! I can't actually believe we are in 2019 already. I feel like I blinked and 2018 was over but overall, it was a pretty amazing year for me.

I didn't actually realise just HOW much I did in 2018 before looking back through all of my pictures so I will be splitting this into two posts.

Here's part 1 of my 2018 in review. Grab a hot drink and lots of snacks - enjoy!

January for me was a bit of a blur. I have the worst memory when it comes to remembering significant things and dates/details, yet I seem to remember minor ridiculous things that I would never ever need to know. Anyone else, orrrr just me?

Blogmas #22: Dunham Massey's Christmas Lights Event

Last night I visited Dunham Massey for their Christmas Lights event. Set in the beautiful grounds, it was evident that a lot of hard work, time and effort had gone into organising this event as everywhere you turned was a festive themed light show.

It is really hard to show just how pretty this actually was by pictures as the pictures just do not do it justice. It would probably also help if I didn't drop my phone 12 times a day too but that's another story.

-

We arrived earlier than our booked slot so we enjoyed a hot drink in the cafe and a quick look around before it was time to start the trail. There was the cutest light tree by the cafe where guests could write a personal message and hang for others to read. I thought this was really cute - some of the messages were lovely!

Blogmas #5: My 5 dream Christmas destinations

I’m such a home bird so the thought of going away for Christmas is pretty alien to me. I spend every year with all my family, indulging in lots of food and drinking lots of alcohol! Christmas is definitely one of my favourite times of year and I love our little family traditions. However, I do see all of the Christmas/holiday photos abroad and think it looks incredible. Maybe one day I will do something slightly different!

If I was to go away at Christmas, or near Christmas, there would be 5 places that I would consider visiting! Here are my 5 dream Christmas travel destinations, in no particular order...

- N e w  Y o r k -

New York is just a dreamy destination full stop. I fell in love with the city when I visited in 2016 and I would go back every year if I could. Even in November, New York is magical as all the department stores on Fifth Ave have the prettiest Christmas decorations, wreaths and lights up.
However, there’s something about the build up to Christmas in December (and around Christmas itself) that just adds to it.

Blogmas #3: A wintery trip to Edinburgh!

I've always heard such great things about Edinburgh Christmas Markets so when I had the chance to go this year, I jumped at the chance! Located in Princes St Gardens, the markets consist of a variety of stalls mapping the whole of the gardens. Edinburgh itself has such a wintery feel with the stone, traditional buildings and narrow streets so I loved visiting at such a festive time.

Photo Diary: A weekend in Geneva

This weekend I visited the beautiful city that is Geneva. With one of my best friends living there, I had the opportunity to visit and see the city from a 'locals' view, visiting both the tourist and local spots. If you haven't already visited, I would highly recommend it. There is plenty to do and see, with a mixture of activities, nightlife and relaxation.

Here are some pictures from the trip.

Marbs Pool Parties #OOTD

If you're anything like me, one of the best bits of a holiday is planning the outfits you're going to wear! So it isn't any surprise when I was super excited to plan all of my pool party outfits for Marbella!

With it being my first time visiting, I definitely wanted to dress to impress and I hope I did just that! If you want to see what I wore each day and where I purchased my outfits from, keep reading.
